Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt’s Ranked Mode might not be live yet, but players can start preparing right away as they will be required to be at a certain level to queue up. Bloodhunt is a free-to-play battle royale game in which players take on the role of various vampire clans as they battle for supremacy atop the rooftops of Prague. Although easy to get into for new players, the high skill ceiling practically guarantees that newcomers will often feel outclassed by veterans of the game. To solve this, Sharkmob AB, the developers of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt, aim to release a Ranked mode soon in order to properly matchmake players according to their skill.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt is set in the World of Darkness universe, a tabletop RPG that has inspired other games, such as the cult classic Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. In World of Darkness, each vampire belongs to a specific clan that often dictates certain personality traits as well as their supernatural powers. “Civilized” vampires are also expected to maintain the Masquerade, a term that depicts their efforts to keep humans from knowing of their existence.

Although Ranked mode is likely to be the most popular feature, the developers also plan to release another one called Bloodhunt mode. In the latter, players will be given extra lives, and every time they die, they will respawn with a gun and a melee weapon in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt: a Spiked Bat and a blue AK.
