BioWare currently has two hotly-anticipated games in development: Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 4. It seems safe to say that both are sequels to beloved franchises, and fans want them to take the developer to take the time and get them right. However, that’s also a balancing act among fans, as many want to know more about both Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 4 already.
Recently, a merch website hinted at the return of Shepard, and many Mass Effect fans ran away with this. BioWare did say this was a mistake, as the site runners are not affiliated with the development, but it was still enough to inject a little energy. Just before this, even Mass Effect’s FemShep actor Jennifer Hale said she’d love to return.
Mass Effect 4 Should Experiment With New Alien Companions
She’s not the only one, of course, as while speaking to Screen Rant about her DC universe roles, Ashley Williams’ actress Kimberly Brooks expressed similar sentiments about returning to Mass Effect. The long and short of it is that she'd loved to return but hasn’t heard anything from BioWare or EA (though it should probably be noted that she couldn’t say anything even if she had), also adding that she thinks the developer wants to put a more unique spin on it.
In her own words, Brooks specifically said, «God, I wish I had the answer to that, and I wish the answer was yes. I have no idea, I would love to be invited. I kind of always get the feeling, like, it's new producers and new people, they kind of want to put their own thing in. So I will sit here waiting for the phone to ring, but I have no information on that. I wish I did, it was a great experience and I would love to be a part of anything they have in the future.»
