There was a brief period of time when Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter seemed to be running short on time when it came to her stay on YouTube. However, after the streamer signed a brand-new contract with YouTube, she's being rather forthcoming about why she's sticking with the platform.
YouTube and Twitch have long had a bit of a rivalry set up when it comes to which company can lure in the best and more popular streamers. Over the years, there have been more than a few people who have jumped from one to the other. Or at least threatened to be changing platforms when they were frustrated with the one they were with at the time. For a time, it seemed like Valkyrae, who had already left Twitch to come to YouTube, might be making the switch back. However, in the end, she decided to stay on YouTube.

Things looked really shaky back in December when the streamer was counting down the days until her YouTube contract ran out. Now that she's sticking with the platform, she's sharing exactly why she signed for a deal that will have her in place for a couple more years at least.
While she admitted that the money is certainly nice, it wasn't the top reason she decided to stay. The 100 Thieves co-owner said that the big reason she signed a new deal is because she didn't want to disappoint the fanbase she had worked so hard to cultivate over the last 48 months.
She also did admit that there was an offer from Twitch to come back and that she thought about making the switch for a minute or two.
