Avengers: Infinity War’s Dave Bautista has revealed which of the movie’s lines caused Tom Holland to laugh hysterically on set. Infinity War was released in 2018 as the third installment of the MCU’s Avengers movies, adding a new set of heroes to the team. Black Panther, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Dr. Strange all assemble with the Avengers to thwart Thano’s attempt to exterminate half of Earth’s inhabitants.
MCU movies have been a box office staple since Iron Man was first introduced over a decade ago. The intense, action sequences and special effects have captivated audiences, but the MCU’s ultimate success is due to the character development from an all-star cast. The formula arguably changed when Guardians of the Galaxy was introduced, enhancing the comedic aspect of the films. Drax the Destroyer, played by Bautista, significantly contributed to this with his dry humor and random commentary.

Infinity War finally merged the Guardians with the Avengers crew. The introduction of the characters resulted in a brief fight between the heroes. The intense standoff offered one of the film’s more memorable scenes and also resulted in a hilarious take that caused Tom Holland to break character. In a Fan Expo panel interview, Bautista said that Holland nearly “peed himself” when he first heard the “Why is Gamora?” punchline.
