This year's Summer Game Fest continues to rage on and developers are making large announcements, including the arrival of 2021's biggest survival game to PC and Xbox Game Pass. Iron Gate AB has confirmed that Valheim will be arriving on PC and Xbox Game Pass in early 2023 during the Xbox and Bethesda extended showcase.
The initial Xbox and Bethesda showcase from Summer Game Fest had several big trailers for games like Redfall, High on Life, and Diablo 4, while games like Persona 5 will be coming to Xbox for the first time and others will be added onto. The second Xbox and Bethesda appearance during Summer Game Fest features an expanded look at many of the reveals like more information about Microsoft Flight Simulator, As Dusk Falls, and Fall Guys. Beyond a deeper dive with games Xbox fans are already familiar with, some announcements like the release of Valheim on Xbox Game Pass joined the Xbox and Bethesda extended show.

Iron Gate AB confirmed the Xbox and Game Pass release of Valheim with a new trailer created using in-game footage that teases world bosses, different biomes, resource gathering, building, and more. The Valheim video also shows Vikings group up to celebrate and take on some of the game's greatest challenges together which is what over 16,000 Valheim early access concurrent players have been doing on PC since 2021. The conclusion of the recent Valheim trailer confirms the survival game for PC Game Pass this Fall, while Xbox and Xbox Game Pass will get the game in Spring 2023, presumably having more time for the studio to port it to the consoles.
