The Putrid Rat is a Level 30 V Blood Carrier in V Rising that grants players with Rat Form, a Vampire Power that allows its caster to transform into a small rodent. This ability is useful for sneaking through areas populated with hostile mobs or looting crates and containers unnoticed. Vampires can also utilize Rat Form to ambush AI mobs and enemy players in V Rising's PvP.
However, locating the Putrid Rat in V Rising can be somewhat confusing because this V Blood Carrier cannot actually be found. Instead, this creature is summoned from a Castle Structure known as the Vermin Nest, an Alchemy Lab that lures or spawns rodents into one's base. To construct the Vermin Nest, players must search for its blueprint within the Build Menu. It can be found in the «Production» tab under the «Refinement» category. If the Structure does not appear, Vampires might need to upgrade their Castle Heart before the nest becomes available. Nevertheless, building the Vermin Nest in V Rising will cost Stone ×360 and Bone ×120. Stone is a highly prevalent resource found throughout Vardoran, and Bone can be collected from a variety of common mobs, particularly undead Skeletons.
