It's an exciting time for fans of the Overwatch franchise as the PvP side of the sequel is rapidly approaching. While Overwatch 2 has seen plenty of delays and long stretches of silence from Blizzard, the past few months have been chock-full of news from new trailers at the Xbox Showcase in June, to an open beta which let players go hands on with new heroes like Junker Queen and Sojourn for the first time. However, as the sequel nears, it also means the end is coming to the original Overwatch.
Originally intending to feature a shared multiplayer experience between both games, though with Overwatch 2 going free-to-play, Blizzard decided to sunset the original game and transition player skins and items to the sequel. However, even with the news that Overwatch will be shutting down, it hasn't stopped players from continuing to jump in and discover new things. Fans and players continue to share impressive moments and other fan generated content.
