Warning: contains preview images for Devil's Reign: Villains for Hire #2!
As the Devil’s Reign event continues in Marvel Comics, the USAgent has found the perfect way to take control of the Thunderbolts. The team, recently deputized by Kingpin to serve as enforcers for his anti-superhero agenda, has begun to stray from their original mission, so Kingpin sends in the USAgent to take control of the team—and remind them of who they serve. It all goes down in a preview for Devil’s Reign: Villains for Hire #2, on sale in print and digital February 23.
As Mayor of New York City, the Kingpin has been at odds with its super-powered community since taking office. Recently, after failing to learn the identity of his arch nemesis Daredevil, Kingpin began a crusade against the heroes of New York, enacting legislation effectively outlawing them. To help enforce his will, Kingpin reinstated the Thunderbolts. Once again, the team is comprised of some of the worst villains in the Marvel Universe—but now they are official law enforcement officers, beholden only to Kingpin. Among the new members are the Rhino, the Taskmaster and Electro. Such a roster almost guarantees there will be personnel issues, ones that will need a strong hand to reign in—enter John Walker, the USAgent. Devil’s Reign: Villians for Hire #2 is written by Clay McLeod Chapman, illustrated by Manuel Garcia, inked by Lorenzo Ruggiero, colored by Dono Sanchez-Almara and Fer Sifuentes-Sujo and lettered by Joe Sabino.
