Uncharted has officially broken into the top five best-selling video game movies of all time, edging out Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which has fallen to number six.
Another weekend has produced solid returns for the Uncharted film bringing its global box office take to $337.3 million (according to GameSpot). That makes Uncharted the fifth movie on the list of all-time box office takes for video game films, displacing Prince of Persia’s $336.4 million.

Topping the list is still Warcraft, which although a flop in the US grossed $439 million in global sales. Next is Pokemon: Detective Pikachu at $431 million, Rampage at $428 million, and The Angry Birds Movie at $352 million.
However, we shouldn't discount Uncharted's domestic performance. Well over a third of Uncharted's money comes from domestic sales totaling $125.9 million, placing it in third place behind Sonic The Hedgehog's $149 million and Detective Pikachu's $144 million.
Uncharted's stellar performance has led Sony to even hint at a sequel calling it a "new hit movie franchise."
In other Uncharted news, we might be seeing Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves on Steam on July 15. That's according to an update spotted by SteamDB on Steam's backend that also revealed Bomb Rush Cyberfunk's arrival on May 26 and Sonic Frontiers on September 1. None of these dates have been confirmed, of course.
