In addition to a single-player mode, Space Marine 2 also has a PvP mode that will be updated throughout 2025 with new content and characters. While never officially announced, ex-employees of the indie game studio Thought Pennies state on their resumes that they were working on a "" set in the universe. Another description of the game described the game as being an «that was canceled when funding was lost. Thought Pennies went through several rounds of layoffs, presumably tied to the game's cancelation.
With the success of, Games Workshop has noted that they're already looking for other publishers to partner with on upcoming titles. In the meantime, there are two games in active development. The first is a sequel to the 2018 video game that features a turn-based XCOM-like strategy, while an MMO project is in the works by Jacklyptic Games. Few details about either of these games have been announced, so it could be a few years before either is in the hands of fans.
