Ubisoft confirms The Division Heartland details and says it’s coming ‘soon’
Ubisoft has revealed fresh details about Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland.
The publisher announced The Division Heartland in May 2021, when it said development of the “standalone experience” was being led by Red Storm Entertainment for release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
According to a newly launched product page on the Ubisoft Store, the title is developed by Ubisoft Montreal and coming “soon”.
“Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is a free-to-play survival-action multiplayer shooter set in small-town Middle America,” reads the official description.
“Play as one of six agents and select between three classes each match, all with their own perks and skills.”
Shortly after the game’s initial announcement, over 20 minutes of The Division Heartland gameplay leaked via a closed test, revealing a 45-player PvEvP mode called Storm and a PvE mode called Expedition.
Details of both modes are now confirmed via the game’s product page.
“Fight together in 45-player PvEvP Storm Operations against a group of dangerous Rogue agents, an aggressive faction known as the Vultures, all while surviving a lethal virus,” it reads.
“Complete PvE missions, gather gear, activate alerts, and prep the battlefield in Excursion Operations.”
The Ubisoft Store also published the four The Division Heartland screenshots viewable on this page.
The company could reveal more Heartland details when it holds a multi-game showcase on September 10.
This week’s Ubisoft Forward event also promises to “unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed”, including an Assassin’s Creed Mirage reveal.
The Division Resurgence, a free-to-play third-person RPG shooter for iOS and Android, was revealed in July.
