Throughout the more than twenty years since the release of The Sims, the life simulation games have grown into one of the most recognizable franchises in gaming. Fresh off the release of The Sims 4's High School Years expansion, Maxis and EA have revealed two more cosmetic-focused DLC kits coming to the game throughout September. The Sims 4 will introduce the «First Fits Kit» tomorrow on September 1 with the second expansion of the month, titled the «Desert Luxe Kit,» releasing in two weeks on September 14. Both kits are confirmed to be small additions to the game, focusing on introducing new cosmetics to the game rather than major game changes.

The First Fits Kit releasing tomorrow will introduce a variety of new clothing options for The Sims 4's in-game children, tailored towards young children and the recent high school expansion. EA describes the additions as allowing younger Sims to «start on a lifetime of trend-setting fashion,» teasing some of the outfits coming to the game with the update. EA's preview of the DLC kit hints at new clothing options for children including leopard-print jackets and patterned leggings among others.
