A Legend Of Zelda fan recently made an impressive clay sculpture of Twilight Princess villain Zant, complete with a removable helmet that shows off the would-be tyrant’s face. 2006’s The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess came at a transitional time for Nintendo, as it was released on both the aging Nintendo GameCube and the then-new Nintendo Wii. As such, it introduced motion controls to the time-honored adventure gameplay of past Zelda games, as well as allowing Link to transform into a wolf to explore an alternate dimension known as the Twilight Realm.
This dark plane of existence serves as the backdrop to The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess’s plot, which sees Link join forces with the imp-like Midna to restore the balance between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm. Standing in their way for the majority of the adventure is Zant, a fiendish Twili sorcerer and the self-proclaimed “King of Twilight” that took control of the Twilight Realm from its true ruler: Midna, who is actually the titular Twilight Princess. After failing to defeat Zant with the Fused Shadows, Link and Midna are forced to gather the scattered fragments of the Mirror of Twilight to confront the usurper in his home domain. It is here that Link and Midna discover that Zant is merely a pawn for a more dangerous foe, leading to a final battle against the infamous Ganondorf at Hyrule Castle.
