Dancing With The Stars is moving from ABC to Disney+ starting in the fall of 2022. The show has aired on ABC for 30 seasons over 16 years and is the U.S. version of Strictly Come Dancing, which airs in the U.K. and has featured two of the DWTS judges. ABC has also aired a handful of spin-offs like Dancing With The Stars: Juniors and Dancing With The Stars: Athletes. For all 30 seasons of DWTS, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli have been the judges. The only exception to the panel staying intact was season 29, when Len was unable to return to America for filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Other judges have included siblings-turned-DWTS pro-dancers Derek and Julianne Hough.
The first 28 seasons of DWTS were hosted by Tom Bergeron. He was joined by co-host and season 7 winner Brooke Burke-Charvet from seasons 10-17, and by Erin Andrews from seasons 18-28. In 2020, Tom and Erin were fired ahead of DWTS season 29, leaving fans particularly furious that Tom would no longer be hosting. Tom has been outspoken about having a negative behind-the-scenes experience towards the end of his hosting run. It was mainly due to his difficult relationship with former executive producer Andrew Llinares, who just exited the show less than a month ago. DWTS fans are particularly unhappy with Tyra Banks' hosting performance.
