When Tower of Fantasy announces a new simulacrum, their introduction and lore videos often come with some mystery added. The next addition will be Rubilia, coming on June 3rd, and she may be one of the most layered yet.
According to her official description, ”Dr. Rubilia was the former head of the Listener Project, and is once again participating in Grayspace Entity studies, this time in the form of an Abyssant. Very few people know about her future as an Abyssant, as the general public still remembers her only as an exceptional researcher and promising scientist”.
In her announcement trailer, we get a taste of the struggle inside her, between this past and its memories, actions she took, and the present. While there are hints in the video as to what the sacrifices and dark hope are alluding to, and the subject of regrets, we’ll have to see her full story when she's released. At that point, if you draw her, you’ll get to play through her missions and learn a lot more about these events that brought Rubilia to this point.
In announcing Rubilia, the team has made it clear that this Abyssant fate is one she sees for herself, so she and her weapon, Lost Art, are going to make their mark on Vera. In the release announcing her addition, it says “Rubilia’s chances of returning to normal human society are slim, but with her weapon, Lost Art, Rubilia will be very present in the adventure of Vera, and her debut marks its close”.
Mysteries ahead of the future updates to come in Tower of Fantasy . The intro video only gives a brief look at what combat with Lost Art will be like. Still, if you’re looking to keep up on the latest roster releases, it seems that Rubilia will be something different.
