Today's Connections Answers & Hints For February 29, 2024 (Puzzle #262)
Only every four years will you be able to complete a February 29th puzzle, and this is one of those years. Today's word groupings aren't as difficult or niche as some others have been recently, but a few words may just trick you into wasting some precious attempts.
If a bigger challenge is required of your daily games, is an excellent, but difficult, addition. This -like game has you solving four puzzles simultaneously, sharing answers and hints between them. Being able to focus on one word, while not losing to another, can really get the brain moving on a slow morning.
Before we fully spoil today's answers we wanted to give you a chance to solve it with these category hints.

This was absolutely the easiest category today with almost every word standing out on its own. LEAP, SPRING, JUMP, and HOP all fit nicely together and the only trouble was the green category's VAULT, which also fit this theme.

VAULT
SAFE and COFFER locked up the green category for us today as we ended up solving the entire day's puzzle in the games easy to hard order.

DAY
Another fairly simple connection with different ways to mark TIME. AGE and ERA started this one off and the other two words fell right into place.

Today's purple category was our 'leftovers' one, which is totally acceptable as the game has a built-in win condition of only needing to solve three of the four actual categories to win. I don't think we would have solved this on its own though as it is a very clever category and could easily confuse some players.
