Titans' Ultimate Battle Begins As Starfire Goes to War with Blackfire
Warning: spoilers for Titans United #6 ahead!
New preview pages for DC Comics' upcoming Titans United #6 shows the Tamaranean princess Starfire preparing to fight her older sister, the villainous Blackfire, as she begins to take control of Earth. The last time Blackfire was seen was in a tearful reunion with Starfire before the sisters saved their home planet Tamaran from the brutal Blight, so Komand'r's baffling decision to attack Earth and her sister with Tamaranean forces will most likely lead to a final showdown between Princess Koriand'r and the reviled Komand'r.
Starfire was first introduced in 1980'sDC Comics Presents #26 and since then has consistently been a key member of the Teen Titans, while also fighting for the Outsiders and spending time on the Justice League. Koriand'r early life is tragic, having been betrayed by her endlessly jealous older sister, who lost her powers and chance at the throne as a child, before ruthlessly taking over Tamaran and imprisoning Starfire, setting up one of the most iconic sisterly rivalries in DC Comics. Titans United, with the immensely talented Anna Diop playing Koriand'r, is a new series that spun out of DC's recent Infinite Frontier relaunch, gathering a Titans team directly inspired by the HBO Max series Titans titular team.

One of the major plots of Titans United has been Superboy, Conner Kent, losing his powers and growing more and more resentful of his teammates,who he perceives as judging him. In Titans United #4 Conner was eventually kidnapped by Blackfire, mentally broken, and remade with his powers into the brutal Black Zero, before taking down pretty much every member of the Titans
