Dating can be difficult at the best of times, even for young people without kids. However, dating can be a proverbial nightmare in more ways than one for people with kids.
Over the past decade, dating apps have gained immense popularity among people of all age groups, and many services cater to just about everybody. Some of the best-known dating apps and websites circa 2022 include Tinder, Bumble, OkCupid, Match.com, eHarmony, Coffee Meets Bagel, Plenty of Fish and more.

On National Single Parent Day (March 21), Match Group has launched a new dating app specifically meant for single parents. Called Stir, the app comes with multiple features that the company believes will make it easier for single parents to connect with others in similar situations. The most significant differentiating factor in the app is the ability to share personal schedules with other users, which Match believes will make it easier for single parents to juggle their love life with childcare duties. As part of the plan, the app has a feature called Stir Time, which allows users to mark when they're free on any day of the week. Users can specify the day and the time when they're free, so that prospective matches know when they'll be available.
Match's Vice President of new verticals, Dinh Thi Bui, said the idea behind a dating app is that having kids should not make dating more difficult. According to Bui, Stir will offer single parents «a dating experience where they are celebrated and feel like they can be themselves.» The app
