After hitting shelves back in 2019, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint generally did not gain too much traction from gamers, and most of those who did give the tactical shooter a try were left less than satisfied. Many critical outlets cite that the game itself was a blundering buggy mess with forced grueling RPG mechanics that hurt the overall adventure. With this, developer Ubisoft attempted to set the record straight over the years with various Ghost Recon Breakpoint expansions and fixes that drastically improved the gameplay experience. However, these will be the last to come, as the updates are coming to an end.
For the uninitiated, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the latest entry in the franchise. Taking place on a fictional chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean known as Auroa, players take control of special forces' agent Nomad, who embarks on the islands to investigate a series of unnatural disturbances involving a futuristic arms manufacturer known as Skell Technology. Although this certainly is an intriguing set-up, it was unanimously labeled as disappointing within the general conscience, as many felt that the narrative struggled to establish itself or stand out from the previously acclaimed Ghost Recon Wildlands venture.

However, despite the lukewarm reception at launch, this did not detract Ubisoft from supporting the game for the next two years.
