If you like playing simple games where you just have to slide tiles, then this new game might be a good match for you. It’s Tile Tales: Pirate which, along with tile-sliding, has treasure hunts and pirates who are as clueless as they are gold-crazy.
The game has 90 levels spread across 9 vibrant environments. So, it’s safe to say that there’s no shortage of puzzling to do. You’ll be basking on a sunny beach, exploring a graveyard for shiny loot and whatnot.
Since pirates aren’t exactly known for efficiency, you can challenge yourself to complete levels with no wasted moves to snag extra stars. And if you lack the patience of a seasoned sailor, there’s a fast-forward button to speed things up.
Basically, Tile Tales: Pirate is about a pirate captain with a compass that points directly to trouble. But his love for treasure knows no bounds. You’ll be sliding tiles to help this goofball navigate through jungles, beaches and spooky graveyards.
Each slide creates a path for the captain to haul his peg-legged self across the map, scooping up every shiny thing he can find. On that note, catch a glimpse of Tile Tales: Pirate here.
Tile Tales: Pirate doesn’t take itself too seriously. There are cutscenes throughout, packed with slapstick moments and animations that’ll have you chuckling. It’s a casual puzzle game that just wants you to have fun.
Now that the game has launched on mobile, NineZyme, the creators plan to drop it on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 soon. It’s free to play, so you can check it out on the Google Play Store.
