While Thymesia may bear a close resemblance to many other similar titles at first glance, it manages to stand out quite a lot due to a handful of intriguing and unique mechanics. Among them is its clever potion system, which allows you to combine various ingredients to earn special boons for your character. To do so, you'll have to find those ingredients, and some of them are rarer than others. One of the rarest is Rosemary, which has a very low drop rate from one specific enemy type. Read on to find out how you can finally get this elusive ingredient.
Rosemary has a 1% drop rate from the mutated female knife-wielding enemies with spikes growing from their backs. These are found throughout the game, but they are plentiful in the main and sub quests within the Sea of Trees biome. Before you set off to fight one, though, make sure you've invested in all three of the talents that increase item drop rates. You can find these in the «Strategies» section of the talent tree. This will improve your chances of getting items of all types to drop, including the Rosemary you're after.
The best spot we've found to farm the mutated female knife-wielding enemy is the second beacon in Sea of Trees: Sub Quest 1. In this side mission, simply make your way to the second beacon, then bypass the spear-wielding foe nearby and look around the other side of the wall to find the enemy you're seeking. If killing her doesn't result in a Rosemary drop, head back to the beacon, rest, and repeat until you get it.
