The mutants of Arakko, who were made the rulers of Mars by the X-Men, are the greatest threat to Thor and all the other gods of Earth, even if they are not aware of it yet. Arakkii customs require any gods to prove their worth in a fight to the death, which could spell disaster for Asgard and all the other pantheons.
During the first Hellfire Gala, the leaders of Karkoa revealed that the mutants had terraformed Mars and that the planet was being colonized to host the population of Arakko, Krakoa's sister island, lost in another dimension for thousands of years. The Arakkii are all mutants, but they are also very different from Earth's ones. Locked in an endless war for centuries in a hostile world, Arakko developed into a military culture where strength and honor are everything and any dispute is set by a challenge. This creates tensions and misunderstandings with both mutants and humans from Earth, but the new regent of Arakko and Mars, Storm, seems to have everything under control. However, the Arakkii's relationship with gods and divinity may spark a great crisis.

In Legion of X #1, by Si Spurrier, Jan Bazaldua, and Federico Blee, it was revealed that the Arakki have a habit of challenging gods to prove their divinity, attacking them as a people and obliterating them if they fail. This comes from the Arakkii's only experience with gods, when one of their rulers used his powers to summon a host of gods for help in the battle against the demons of Amenth.
