Elden Ring is filled with challenges to overcome, and some of these obstacles will appear multiple times throughout a playthrough. The Fallingstar Beast is one of these recurring threats, and a group of Elden Ring players were taken out by the one in Mt. Gelmir.
Whether it is the Fallingstar Beast in the Caelid mines or the one in Mt. Gelmir’s crater, there are many reasons why this boss has given the Elden Ring community so much trouble. For starters, it is incredibly durable, shrugging off attacks from sharp weapons with ease — something that is problematic since many players run sword builds. On top of this, the Fallingstar Beast's attacks are nearly nonstop, many of which come with some unpredictable movement attached.
Elden Ring Players Are Debating Which Boss Smells The Worst
While some Elden Ring players have mastered the Fallingstar Beast, others struggle with the fight and need to call in some help. This was the case for Reddit user VinVanTheTinCan, who ascended to the top of Mt. Gelmir with two companions. Hoping that co-op would make the fight a breeze, the three players waited on the edge of the Fallingstar Beast’s arena, applying some buffs to themselves before engaging. However, this proved to be a fatal mistake made by the group.
While the players clearly thought they were safe from theElden Ringboss, this could not be further from the truth. Ascending a ladder and being on the outer edge of the arena was enough to activate the boss’s health bar and trigger aggro. As a result, the Fallingstar Beast charged at the group of players before they could even prepare themselves.
