The launch of the 2021 MacBook Pro saw Apple bring back a bunch of ports that have been missing from its laptop computers, one of which is the SDXC card slot. Although the port uses a slower standard, it still comes in handy when users need to transfer photos and videos from an SD card. In addition, users can also use it to expand the storage of the computer.
The Macbook Pro comes in different configurations, with the base model having a 512GB SSD and the option to configure it to up to 8TB of storage. However, all hope is not lost for those who need more storage, as they can easily do so using the SDXC card slot. All they have to do is insert a compatible SD card, although it won't be as fast as the built-in SSD.
