Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 3, like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, has an outer display but it is significantly smaller and has limited functionality. That is about to change thanks to a new software mod. Most foldable smartphones have two displays — a cover display and an inner one that unfolds to a larger size. The size of this outer display varies from device to device.
The first-gen Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G both launched with a tiny 1.1-inch cover display that did little more than display the time and date, notifications, caller identification, music playback controls, and functioned as a very small viewfinder when the camera was launched. With the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung decided to increase the screen size to 1.9-inches, thus allowing for more functions to be carried out, but still limited when compared to a full-sized display.

The app also lets users add home screen widgets from third-party apps. According to the developer, he started working on the project when the first-gen Galaxy Z Flip was announced but a damaged display forced him to abandon it.
No doubt, this is incredible work done by a one-man team, but like several apps out there, it isn't without its issues. There is already a version of the app listed on the Google Play
