The first reset has finally ended, with three guilds in the lead at 7/11M — in order, Liquid, Echo, and SK Pieces! Skyline also has the chance to join them before their reset ends over in the China region, but the other guilds aspiring to World First almost certainly will be ending the week at 6/11M — not a huge disadvantage in terms of loot but certainly behind in the race at this point. However, the coming reset comes with new opportunities and potential pitfalls for everyone! 4-piece set bonuses will now be available to guarantee for any guilds that can commit the time, gold, and clout to secure helpers to trade Rygelon and/or Lords of Dread tier, so the decisions about what splits to do and the efficiency that the guilds are able to realize will be very important for who can get back to progression quickest! Another looming threat is the Halondrus reclear, which does not get hugely easier with the addition of an extra reset's worth of gear and a few extra set bonuses, as it's mainly a mechanics intensive fight, and the guilds will be attempting to re-clear without Vantus Runes! Everyone is settling in for a late reset 2 Jailer at the earliest, so unlike most previous tiers there's not going to be a mad rush to get the lowest hanging fruit before re-entering progression.
Instead, the marathon mentality appears to have permeated all of the competitors, with sleep time and fully BiS gearing both being prioritized in a way that they often wouldn't be in the final days of a race.
