With verticality in video games reaching ever skyward, it only makes sense that many players would want to find the tallest buildings in video games to jump off of and freefall to the ground, something many have enjoyed in games from Assassin's Creed to Spider-Man. There is something innately appealing about the ability to scale something that can be seen from all over the map, basking in glory on the very peak, and then hurtling off the edge at top speed.
The Assassin's Creed games, especially the most recent entry Assassin's Creed Valhalla, were made famous by having super tall structures that were not only fun to climb, but fun to launch off of after getting a view of the surrounding world. Many video games offer impressive views from the highest structures, but only a few can offer the most satisfying views of the world after players fling themselves from their precipices, and these are among the tallest.

Several things can factor into a structure's perceived height aside from the distance from the ground to the zenith. If there is variety in the level design, like how Gotham Knights finally made Gotham worth exploring, players could have a difficult time deciding which structure to scale. If the player character is upwardly mobile, the tallest building in the game may seem lackluster if it only takes half a minute to reach the top. On the contrary, even a relatively squat building may seem taller than it is if the process of reaching the top proves arduous or time-consuming.
