Once you reach the windmill on the far side of the swamp, the climactic battle of The Serpent Rogue begins. If you've made it this far you're probably no stranger to experimenting until you find out what works and what doesn't, but the battle against the Serpent Rogue himself is different from any challenge you've faced yet.

North of the Church lies the Swamp, a dangerous region full of poisonous snakes and large amounts of Corruption. At the north-central edge of the map is a submerged bridge which leads to the Mill, but you'll need to raise it as the Warden cannot swim. Just east of the bridge is a drainage mechanism, but it's missing parts. You'll need to face dangerous foes to retrieve the three gears necessary.
The first gear is found east of the bridge, at the top of a wooden structure. This takes the longest to get to as it is the farthest from the Swamp entrance, so do not attempt to collect this gear if the next Corruption Storm is more than fifty percent formed. On the top floor of the tower you'll find the Swamp Key, which is necessary to retrieve the other gears. After retrieving the key, continue down the opposite stairs and use it to unlock the barrier. Behind the lock is the first gear.
The Swamp Key and the Gears do not take up space in your inventory, so you don't need to worry about extra weight. They're instead added to the Warden's character model, with the key hanging around their neck and the gears attached
