The first teaser trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power features the show's new Galadriel reading J.R.R. Tolkien's classic Ring Verse speech. Amazon has spent the last several years developing an incredibly ambitious TV show set in the Lord of the Rings world. Set in Middle-earth's Second Age, the series explores a time period years before the events previously featured in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy. However, the show and movies are not directly connected, despite being based on the same source material.
One of the biggest ways Prime Video's Lord of the Rings show has made its separation from Jackson's movies known is through the casting. None of the actors involved with the Lord of the Rings movies are involved in the series, and it is confirmed that at least a few major roles were recast. This includes an unknown actor playing Elrond the Lord of Rivendell, previously played by Hugo Weaving, and Morfydd Clark playing young Galadriel. Cate Blanchett played the ruler of the Elven realm Lothlórien/Lórien in the movies, but Clark taking on the role for Amazon's Lord of the Rings show indicates how big of a part she'll play.

Amazon Prime Video has now revealed more about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, as the title announcement came with a short teaser trailer of sorts. The video shows how Amazon forged an elaborate hand-crafted logo, as metal flows through the wood carving to create the new title. The Rings of Power trailer also features Clark's new Galadriel reading a section of a famous speech from Tolkien known as the Ring Verse. Check it out below:
