The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, a revival to Disney Channel's The Proud Family animated sitcom, debuted on Disney + on February 23, with many of its original cast returning to their roles and some new additions. Bruce Smith returned as the creator of the revival series, this time together with Ralph Farquhar. Louder and Prouder episodes 1 and 2 were released on Disney +, which will release new installments weekly on Wednesdays.
The Proud Family aired from 2001 to 2005, and The Proud Family Movie followed the stories of the show’s characters two years after the original series. The revival Louder and Prouder picks up right after the events of the original series, with 14-year-old Penny grappling with the challenges of a new school year along with those of growing up. Penny (still voiced by Mayim Bialik's Call Me Kat’s Kyla Pratt) will face them supported by her family and surrounded by her group of friends.
