BIP: Mari Pepin Announces Candidacy For Miss World Puerto Rico 2022
Bachelor In Paradise season 7 fan-favorite Mari Pepin announced that she is officially a contestant for Miss World Puerto Rico 2022. Mari got engaged to Kenny Braasch on the season finale of the show, and their love has grown even stronger throughout the past few months. Born in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, Mari moved to Maryland as a teenager. Her parents were in the United States Armed Forces. She has also lived in Germany and Hawaii, and most recently moved into an apartment with Kenny in his hometown of Chicago.
Mari began her journey into the pageant scene in 2014, when she won the Miss Maryland Teen USA 2014 title on her first attempt. She then represented Maryland at Miss Teen USA 2014. In 2017, she competed for America's Miss World 2017. She then competed in the Miss Maryland USA 2018 pageant and placed as 2nd runner-up. Mari returned to the pageant the following year and won the Miss Maryland USA 2019 title and the opportunity to represent Maryland on the national stage.

In an Instagram post, Mari proudly announced that she will return to her pageant roots. She wrote, «Purpose — Something we all strive to discover in our lifetime. I think I was lucky enough to start uncovering mine a long time ago, and today that journey continues as I officially announce my candidacy for Miss World Puerto Rico 2022!» Mari will be representing her hometown of Luquillo at the pageant in June. Mari said that she was so excited to share the experience with everyone, especially those who are new to the pageant world.
