Pokémon GO Fest Announced As Global & In-Person Event For 2022
Summer events in Pokémon GO have recently become more exciting with the announcement of Pokémon GO Fest 2022. Coming together for community-driven events in Pokémon GO is part of what makes the mobile game exciting for players. Events like Pokémon GO Tours, Community Days, and Spotlight Hours are all great incentives to get outside and meet up with friends to catch new companions. Events in the summer can be particularly exciting, as they are rarely hampered by bad weather, making participation more likely for most players.
In recent years, many large-scale events in Pokémon GO have had to be reimagined for the safety of players. However, these changes helped increase accessibility for those unable to travel for participation, or who couldn't stay out all day to fully experience the event. The ability to enjoy big events at a local park, on a simple walk, or even from the comfort of a personal home has helped those who love Pokémon GO gameplay stay connected. Many of these changes haven't been removed from Pokémon GO, or have been modified to better align with Pokémon GO's 2022 roadmap to get players back outside.

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 will be taking place both as a global and in-person set of events spanning June, July, and August. The official global Pokémon GO Fest 2022 event will take place worldwide for two days spanning Saturday, June 4 through Sunday, June 5, 2022. The North American in-person event will be on Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24, 2022, in Seattle Washington. Additionally, there will be a bonus event on Saturday, August 27, 2022, allowing players to enjoy Pokémon GO Fest 2022 content all through the summer months.
