Al Pacino Has A Shrek Phone Case, It Seems

A photo actor Jason Momoa shared on Instagram intended to document a celebratory dinner for a gallery opening has instead gone viral for revealing that Al Pacino is, apparently, a huge Shrek fan. As one eagle-eyed Twitter user noticed, the legendary Pacino uses an iPhone with what looks like a Shrek case.

In a story that has been quickly developing and taking on momentum on Monday, the Shrek phone case was first noticed by Marie Bardi, social media manager for the Blank Check podcast, who called attention to the case and concluded it was a generic case with a visually noisy Shrek collage. Another Twitter user then seemingly took it upon herself to get to get confirmation of the Shrek case by DMing Pacino's daughter Olivia on Instagram. If this screenshot of their conversation is to be believed, one of the greatest actors of all time is absolutely the proud owner of a Shrek phone case.

Later still, another photo surfaced from the Vanity Fair Oscar party showing Pacino talking to Rita Ora and Taika Waititi--with the Shrek phone also making an appearance. As of this writing, Pacino's phone case is still available on Amazon.

Pacino recently appeared as Aldo Gucci in Ridley Scott's House of Gucci. Godfather Part III, one of Pacino's more contentious roles and films, was re-edited in 2020 as The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone.
