Skyrim Stealth Mod Allows Players to Spy Through Keyholes
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is one of the biggest RPGs in recent history, with its developer only too keen to keep rehashing it for release on newer systems. As a video game that can eat up hundreds of hours of play time, there are numerous ways to experience this slice of Tamriel, whether it's sword-swinging action, intricate knowledge of magic, or creeping around unnoticed. There are those who generally prefer one over the other, and a new mod has been released which definitely pertains to the latter.
JaySerpa, a veteran of the modding community, recently uploaded «Take A Peak,» a stealth-based add-on for the Special Edition of Skyrim that makes it possible for players to spy through keyholes. A short video shows the mod in action, with the player able to look through to the other side of a door, see who's there, and decide whether or not it's safe to enter. The footage plays out in a Metal Gear Solid kind of way, which is quite amusing.

According to JaySpera, the mod should work on just about any door, and it also seems to function even if the player is on the exterior of the map looking into an interior location, such as a home. Skyrim's stealth features are already pretty powerful, and this addition will serve many who like the idea of going all Sam Fisher or Snake on unsuspecting NPCs. The video goes on to say that if the player is also using the «Skyrim Souls» mod, the world will remain unpaused while peering through a keyhole, and it's even possible for some characters to comment on what the player is doing.
