It's now the middle of 2022 and the game still doesn't have a release date, but it does have a new studio working on it.
Previously, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was being developed by Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune, but now it's being developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Ubisoft Montreal, for the uninitiated, is one of Ubisoft's premiere studios, leading development on blockbuster games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and the original Prince of Persia trilogy. In the announcement, it was explained that Ubisoft Montreal will be «building upon» the work done by Mumbai and Pune.
