The Office star Rainn Wilson thinks Dwight would be busy in 2022. While The Office was full of memorable characters like Michael, Pam, and Jim, Wilson's Dwight stood out across the show's nine seasons. He was responsible for many of the series' zaniest moments, contributing to its irreverent tone. When the show ended in 2013, Dwight had just married Angela and was regional manager at Dunder Mifflin.
Since The Office went off the air, the show has remained relevant. In the near-decade since it concluded, a new generation of viewers has discovered the series through streaming. The Office stars frequently discuss their time on the show and share behind-the-scenes stories. This has increased in recent years thanks to Office Ladies, a rewatch podcast by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey that features appearances by their co-stars, including Wilson. In fact, it feels like there's more interest in The Office now than there was in the years directly following the series finale.
