The Epic Games Store’s next free title has been announced.
Strategy war game Warpips will be free to claim from Epic’s PC marketplace from February 16-23.
It will replace Recipe For Disaster, which is now free to download until February 16.
“Warpips is what would happen if Command and Conquer and Nexus Wars had a baby made out of tanks and napalm!” reads the game’s store listing.
“Set loose the engine of war and watch the chaos of physics-based combat explode onto the battlefield! Assemble your army from a diverse roster of infantry, vehicles and airplanes. Deploy troops, call down airstrikes, and launch missiles – all without that pesky micromanagement.”
February’s ‘free’ games for Amazon Prime Gaming members were recently confirmed. They include Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition, Onsen Master, Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield and Divine Knockout.
Fortnite maker Epic recently agreed to pay over half a billion dollars to settle a pair of complaints brought against it by the US Federal Trade Commission.
In two separate record-breaking settlements, it was announced that Epic would pay a $275 million penalty for violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and $245 million to refund consumers tricked into making unwanted charges.
