Over a decade after its release, is still one of the most beloved RPGs in the gaming sphere thanks to its massive, detailed open-world map — but some cities are better than others when it comes to quests. In order to defeat Alduin, the Dragonborn must complete missions in each of the game's nine main cities, which span far and wide across the Nord's homeland. They'll have an exciting, action-packed time in some, whereas others leave something to be desired.
Since 's sequel is still early in the development phase, and Bethesda's focus seemingly remains on for the time being, its location has yet to be announced. However, there's been ample speculation of taking place in Hammerfell. Undoubtedly, this desert setting would be quite a leap from the snowy mountaintops of its prequel. But if takes any inspiration from 's best cities (and avoids recreating its worst), it's certain to be an incredible experience.

Being one of the smallest cities, Morthal doesn't offer much in the way of quests. In fact, there are only three substantial missions to participate in, one of which is a generic quest to become Thane. Otherwise, there are only two stories that the player can unearth: a strange housefire that killed Hroggar's wife and daughter, and a rendezvous with Falion, who studies vampires and is eventually able to cure the Dragonborn if they're afflicted with vampirism in . While the two vampire-related quests in Morthal may have been interesting on the game's launch, they quickly become stale compared to the DLC.
