The Man Who Fell to Earth stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Faraday, an alien from the planet Anthea who came to Earth hoping to save his home planet from a global drought. Faraday seeks out Justin Falls (Naomie Harris), a former MIT scientist who developed a failed technology for fusion energy. But Justin is no longer a scientist and is eking out a living in New Mexico as she cares for her sick father, Josiah (Clarke Peters), and her young daughter, Molly (Annelle Olaleye). Faraday's presence on Earth is also being tracked by the CIA as he seeks his mentor, Thomas Jerome Newton (Bill Nighy), who is also from Althea and came to Earth over 40 years ago.
