Warning: Spoilers for The Flash season 8, episode 14
The Flash has already spoiled how its Frost twist is going to play out. The show’s Deathstorm story saw the series say goodbye to yet another longtime Team Flash member when Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) died stopping the villain. She’s gone, but now the show is suggesting that she can be brought back somehow.
The Flash season 8, episode 14, titled “Funeral for a Friend” was a story about everyone trying to move on from Frost’s death, which has absolutely devastated the group. Dealing with the pain even hindered their ability to take down Blockbuster. However, they pushed through it and ultimately found ways to honor Frost’s legacy at the end of the episode. But as it turned out, one character in particular actually has no intention of moving on or accepting her death. The episode’s ending revealed that Caitlin is on a mission to bring Frost back to life – and she expects Chillblaine (Jon Cor) to help her do it. The implication is that she’ll either use cloning or perhaps even restore things to the way they were before, back when Frost and Caitlin shared a body.

Regardless of the lengths Caitlin and possibly Chillblaine will go to in The Flash season 8 to revive Frost, it’s hard to imagine this new arc leading to her resurrection. Panabaker’s comments on the matter are a clear indication that Frost’s death can’t be temporary. The actress admitted to having trepidations about killing her off because she wasn’t comfortable with doing a “fake-out”. She said that it had to be a “real death, in order to feel truthful and honest”. This is what made Frost’s death work, and as Panabaker herself has noted,
