The first “gameplay images” of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown are set to be revealed next week, publisher Nacon and developer KT Racing have announced.
Nacon will be streaming a 30-minute Test Drive presentation on its YouTube channel. The event, called TDU Connect, will stream on July 12 at 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST, which will show how the game looks.
Throughout its press release, Nacon continually refers to ‘images’ instead of gameplay – it’s not clear if this means the presentation will only include screenshots or actual gameplay footage.
Earlier this week it was reported that the game had seemingly suffered another delay, after a Nacon financial report was spotted which listed the game as releasing in the first quarter of 2024.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown’s official website is still advertising the game as “available in 2023”, so there’s hope that the presentation next week will clarify the release window.
According to its Steam listing, the game is “an open world driving and lifestyle experience taking place in Hong Kong Island, built at 1:1 scale.”

Nacon says: “Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown retains the DNA of the original works, while bringing a modern updated vision of the multiplayer racing game, to offer players luxury, exceptional cars and competition, reflecting the life that they’ve always dreamt of.”
It also now states that the game will be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, putting to bed suggestions of a release on last-gen formats.
