NEXON's free-to-play, Unreal Engine 5-powered looter-shooter, launched last month and sees players becoming Descendants in both solo and co-op modes with an array of unique abilities. The Descendants are tasked with fending off the alien invaders, The Vulgus, who crossed dimensions over 100 years ago and brought with them the devastating Colossi, with an aim to destroy the city of Albion and the continent of Ingris.
Just over a month later, the studio has unveiled its first look at the game's major update,. follows the disappearance of Karel's fleet, with the Vulgus altering their strategy and targeting the depths of Ingris's dungeons. In a bid to reclaim their lost outpost, The Descendants raid the Ancestors' facilities and deploy a new scout to intercept and counter these new Vulgus threats.
There are a ton of things to discover in The First Descendant, and it's pretty easy to overlook important features and mechanics that change the game.
