The popular television series Who Do You Think You Are? is returning after a four year hiatus, and six celebrities have been announced as its season 11 stars. The show follows the journeys of celebrities as they research their genealogy. As they trace their family trees, they travel to locations in the United States and all over the world, in order to piece together the stories of their ancestors, with the help of historians, genealogists, and other experts.
Who Do You Think You Are? premiered on March 5, 2010 on NBC, where it ran for three seasons, until it moved to TLC. It aired for seven more seasons on that channel, but now will return to NBC for season 11. The series is executive produced by Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky. The first season told the stories of the ancestry of Lisa, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Emmitt Smith, Brooke Shields, Susan Sarandon, and Spike Lee. It has since starred dozens of other celebrities who want to find out more about their families' origins.
