Visual effects supervisor Stephan Fleet provides a breakdown of The Boys season 3's tragic Timothy the Octopus scene. Set inside a universe where superhumans exist and are commercialized to the public as heroes, The Boys focuses on a titular group of vigilantes determined to combat crime and corruption, which runs rampant amongst them. Adapted by Eric Kripke and based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the show celebrated the airing of its third season in June.

However, the show quickly revealed the price of his return as one of his greatest fears as Homelander sought to demonstrate his lowly position in the hierarchy by ordering him to eat his octopus friend Timothy.
