Warning! Spoilers ahead for Batman: Urban Legend #13
In the latest issue of DC's Batman: Urban Legends, it's revealed that the Dark Knight's cowl is a secret weapon with defense protocols most fans wouldn't expect. Following the explosion, the Bat-Dog was taken to a secret lab underneath Gotham's largest pet cemetery (which secretly houses half of Gotham's murders in the graves instead of deceased pets). However, Ace ended up forming his own League of Super-Pets, breaking out together and intending to save the captive Dark Knight.

Naturally, Batman is as prepared as ever with contingencies in place to keep his cowl protected. While some readers might have expected the electric taser as soon as the thug touched his mask (similarly seen in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight), they probably didn't expect the deadly flamethrower
