The Batman only hit theaters last month, but it appears that DC and Warner Bros are giving a bit of an Easter treat to people who weren’t willing or able to go see it on the big screen. While moving from theaters to streaming services this quickly is hardly a brand-new development, most of the time it had been done before was because the country was smack dab in the middle of a pandemic. This time around, the streamer is getting one of the biggest movies of the year despite the fact that ticket sales are quite healthy.

Warner Bros. made the announcement about The Batman coming to streaming quicker than most people likely imagined. The movie will be available on HBO Max on Monday, April 18, 2022. Just how long it might be around was not divulged in the press release that made the announcement about the superhero movie’s streaming launch. When it does finally arrive, it will be just the latest DC movie to come to the streaming giant not all that long after it was released, though it’s one of the quicker moves, especially when talking about films that were released only in theaters at first.
