The Batman director Matt Reeves confirms an easy-to-miss Riddler detail that takes place in an early scene of the film. The Batman offered a detective-noir spin on one of the biggest comic-book heroes of all time and saw Robert Pattinson take on Bruce Wayne/Batman as audiences follow him through his second year as Gotham's Caped Crusader. The Batman drew inspiration from beloved comics such as The Long Halloween and Year One, with Reeves' DC debut enjoying enormous success at the box office, having grossed more than $750 million worldwide.
Alongside Pattinson, The Batman boasts a star-studded lineup that includes the likes of Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Jordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred. The blockbuster also saw Paul Dano star as the film's antagonist, Riddler, a relentless killer with a particular hatred for the Wayne family. Throughout the film, Riddler taunts Batman with various clues and puzzles that accompany his various murders. The story culminates with his eventual capture, which is revealed to be part of his grand plan.

Reeves has now taken to Twitter to confirm a particularly interesting Riddler detail that is teased in the early moments of the film. In a response to a tweet, Reeves confirmed that Riddler can be seen in a small, lit window which overlooks the Iceberg lounge at around the 31-minute mark of The Batman. Reeves replied to the tweet, sharing that he can "100%" confirm that the mysterious figure is Riddler. The tweet prompted much excitement from fans, who were impressed by this very subtle detail.
