Dying Light 2 Stay Human is barely a little over a year old right now, and Techland has every intention of supporting the game with new content and updates for plenty of time to come, having having recently also pushed the Gut Feeling update. At the same time, it seems the developer is also already planning ahead for the next instalment in the franchise.
Dying Light franchise director Tymon Smektala recently put up a poll on his Twitter page asking fans what kind of a protagonist they’d like to see in Dying Light 3, including options for a Nightrunner, a Pilgrim, a regular survivor, and a GRE agent who has turned good. Smektala did preface the poll by stressing that it’s not meant to be a Dying Light 3 announcement- though clearly, the developer is putting some thought into the series’ next instalment already.
Interestingly, in an interview last year, Smektala said that he would like Dying Light 3’s protagonist to have “bigger and better starting abilities and skills” right at the beginning of the game, contrary to the approach the first two games have taken. Read more on that through here.
Techland is currently also working on an unannounced open world fantasy action RPG.
