Most of the Syphon Filter series has been rated for newer PlayStation consoles in Korea, pointing to a PlayStation Plus Premium release. Bend Studio's Syphon Filter series follows special agents Gabriel Logan and Lian Xing as they are tasked with stopping a series of terrorist attacks. The titles, which were originally released for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PSP, could be exciting additions to newer consoles for fans of classic, tactical gameplay.
Earlier this month, Sony announced their new model for their subscription service, PlayStation Plus. The service will consisted of three tiers. The base tier "Essentials" will be similar to the current PlayStation Plus model and offer online play, discounts, and a handful of monthly free games. The "Extra" tier offers everything in Essentials alongside 400+ downloadable PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles, and the highest tier, "Premium" will offer everything in Essentials and Extra alongside further downloadable PlayStation, PlayStation 2 & PSP titles, as well as additional streamable PS3 games.

According to Gematsu, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has rated Syphon Filter, Syphon Filter 2, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. However, Syphon Filter 3 and Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain were not included in the list of potential titles.
