A trio of SNES and NES games have been added to the Nintendo Switch Online library.
Earthworm Jim 2, Dig Dug II and Mappy-Land, which are shown off in the trailer below, are now available for subscribers.
New additions to the service were hinted at earlier this week when it was discovered that both the NES and SNES apps were set to go down for maintenance on Thursday morning.
The previous time both apps went down for maintenance was right after the last Nintendo Direct in February, which resulted in the Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings joining the service.
Before Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings were added, the previous time the SNES library received new games was in July 2021, when Claymates, Jelly Boy and Bombuzal were made available.
The NES library, meanwhile, hadn’t received a new title since May 2021, when Jaleco’s Famicom action game Ninja JaJaMaru-kun was added.
On Wednesday, VGC published a list of top titles yet to come to Nintendo’s retro service.
Last October, the Switch Online Expansion Pack added Sega Mega Drive / Genesis and Nintendo 64 games to the existing NES and SNES libraries available as part of the standard membership plan.
Earlier this month, Alien Soldier, Light Crusader and Super Fantasy Zone were added to the Mega Drive library, while Banjo-Kazooie joined the N64 one in January.
